Who got barely anything done last week?

The scarf still needs to be closed up then it will be done.

The highlight of the week was when  this cake was made.

The recipe for the Cherry Banana Cake

Defrost a big bowl of frozen cherries (juice should equal 1/3 cup, don’t toss out)

Mash three bananas.

Mix together then set aside.

2 cups flour

1/4 tsp salt

1/2 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp baking soda

1 tablespoon cocoa powder

Sift all together into a different bowl

1 stick melted butter

leftover cherry juice

3 tablespoons lemon juice

1/2 cup agave nectar

2 eggs

Mix together then add in flour. Mix in fruit last.

Put in two round pans and cook at 350 degrees F (176 degrees C?) for forty minutes. Stick toothpick in and if it comes out clean, it’s done. Set the pans aside while making the icing.

8 ounce cream cheese

8 ounces of powdered sugar

(As long as they’re equal amounts, you’re fine)

capful of vanilla extract

I did use a fork to ice the cake. Don’t judge me. I was expecting it to look kinda cool and swirly.

I always have several things going on at once because I have a terrible attention span and can never work on one project at a time.

I should have bought a larger knitting board since the plan is to make strips then crocheting them together to make either a shawl or small blanket.

The first strip.

It’s still in the planning stages.

Also, these came in the mail today.

yarn balls

Seven balls of Louisa Harding’s Simonetta and one of her named Merletto.  WEBS have fast service as I expected the package closer to my birthday. My birthday is Saturday.
