week 104
Three sketches on a few current projects.
The top one is the triangle shawl. Finally decided the exact colors and how many for each one.
The bottom right is the knitted house, which I’ve now named the Knob House. I’ll explain that one when I get to it.
The one on the bottom left is a scarf.
The DMC thread my friend Mike gave me didn’t work in crochet form so I’ve decided to actually try my hand at embroidery.
It should be obvious I have absolutely no idea what to do, so will wing it.
It’s just going to be a bunch of lines in both directions, grouped according to color.
This is the scarf in the above sketch. The B/W stands for blue/white and vice versa.
I really want to make a plaid scarf but don’t think this will be the one.
Also, I couldn’t decide if I should knit or crochet the whole thing, so made a small sample to compare.
The one on the top won out.
I’m going to put fringe on the ends, which is why there are loose ends at the bottom.
This is the knitted house currently. It’s a pillow.
It’s flatter than I expected after shoving my son’s old white t-shirts into it.
I was going to use those shirts for t-shirt yarn but it would make for tiny bits so just used it for stuffing. Should have dyed them grey so it would a little less obvious but it doesn’t matter to me.
There are also two other bits of clothing in there that I was going to use for something else.
I crocheted the white bit between the roof and walls over the weekend.
Everything is closed up at this point.
Just have to add some windows and the main door, then I’m done.
By the way, I’ve named it The Knob House. The originally chimney was huge and took up a fourth of the roof.
I didn’t take a picture of the pink pullover although both shoulders are seamed and added a small collar.
I just have to add an edging to the armholes, before trying it on and seeing just how huge it is on me.
