weeks 302-303
Last week was a case of not really buckling down and getting as many things squared away, before Munchkin started school back up this week. Plus, he had a hearing test on Friday, so didn’t get anything done that day. (His hearing is perfectly fine, by the way. It just further cemented that he’s just as stubborn and hardheaded as I am. Nothing is funnier and/or scarier than looking at a reflection of yourself in a smaller form.)
One of Dylan’s therapists had to be let go, because the case manager was looking at the results of his therapies and whenever she was with him, it widely skewed the results. As a parting gift, I made her something and named it Squishy. It started off a duck, but it looked odd, then separated it and was trying to sew the head back on, to make a fish, and it came out looking like a deformed seal. From this angle, it looks like a bunny.

That pillow turned out to be a mess, also, but somehow Dylan has accepted it and it’s his now. I don’t think he’s ever turned down a pillow, as he has nine pillows on his bed. He originally had two, and some from the couch downstairs and my room ended up on his bed. Nubs formed instead of cables because that’s what turned out when you garter stitch everything.

The only thing I’ve been doing in bits and pieces is knitting yet another pullover. I’ve only got 740 yards of yarn of Redheart With Love in Tigerlily which doesn’t seem to be a very popular colour. Once I decide I like a certain colour, it suddenly becomes harder to get in store. I’m indecisive over whether to just make a vest or get another ball or two of the yarn I’m using to make sleeves and such. The back will be plain but haven’t decided the front, although it will be v neck and have a collar.
